FAQs

What is Microblading?

Also known as brow feathering, and 3D brows, Microblading is a form of permanent Cosmetic Tattooing that refers to the process of creating tiny hair strokes to mimic and enhance the natural look of eyebrows.  This is done by implanting pigment under the skin using a small, sterile, disposable needle which results in the look of fuller brows.

How long does Microblading last?

Microblading is considered to be permanent and will not wash off.

However, it will fade over time and may need a touch-up every 1-2 years.

Frequency of touch-ups depends on a number of factors including: the pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster), sun exposure, iron deficiency , and if any chemicals or skincare with active ingredients come into contact with treated areas.

Please note that final results can not be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. The tattooed hair strokes tend to have a more crisp look once healed on dry skin compared to more blurry strokes on oily skin. Most oily-skinned clients do well with a combination of strokes & shading, called a Combo brow.

I will re-evaluate how your skin has received the pigment at your touch-up appointment

and make any changes necessary.

Touch-ups are normal for cosmetic tattoo procedures, with each new procedure requiring 2+ visits. The initial procedure is followed by a touch-up procedure 4-6 weeks later.

Please note that the client is responsible for booking their own follow-up appointment and can book those appointments at any time within the 4-6 week timeframe.

What if I have medical conditions or allergies?

Please let us know of any medical conditions or allergies you have before booking an appointment, as this may disqualify you for the procedure, or we may need to source different products or change the procedure for your service.

This includes all allergies, food, environmental and otherwise that MUST be stated on your intake paperwork.  Health conditions that may DISQUALIFY you include diabetes, keloid scarring, herpes, or other infectious diseases, active rosacea or psoriasis, acne in the brow area, and auto-immune diseases or health conditions where you are prone to easy bleeding.

If you are on any steroid medications, Accutane, Retin-A or other strong Retinols, blood thinners, (including aspirin regiments) currently receiving chemotherapy, have had any intense chemical peels, lasers, facials, botox, latisse or lash growth serums on the treatment area, other facial treatments, or are currently sunburned, you will need to wait a certain period of time before receiving Microblading services.

Please contact us for details BEFORE booking!  Clients who are not a candidate due to an item listed above, and come to an appointment anyways will be charged 50% of their service and turned away.

What if I am pregnant or nursing?

We do not perform cosmetic tattooing on pregnant OR nursing/breastfeeding women due to risk of infection.  Additionally, hormones released while pregnant and nursing can cause poor retention, excessive bleeding, and increased pain levels and therefore we do not perform these services for breastfeeding women.

What if i'm under 18 ?

You must be 18 years of age or older to receive cosmetic tattooing.

Am I a good candidate for Microblading?

You are not a good candidate for Microblading if you have very thin, aged or mature skin, extremely oily skin, or very large sebaceous pores.  These clients will have less than ideal healed results and are more suited for a combination, ombre, or powder brow done with a machine.  Please contact us and send a photo of your bare skin if you are unsure.

                                                    FAQs Dermal Fillers

What are dermal fillers?

Face and lip fillers (dermal fillers) are substances injected into your face. They fill lines and wrinkles and add volume to areas such as your lips or cheeks. They are made of Hyaluronic Acid. A water loving molecule that binds up to 400 x its weight in water. It works like a sponge and fills up with water upon injection.

How do I book a appointment?

You can book your appointment by clicking on “Book your appointment”. You must pay your deposit before your appointment is secured. You can also contact us by email, phone or Instagram. Please allow 48 hours for messages to be replied.

How often would I require filler treatments?
Treatment effects typically last 6-12 months depending on the area, injection technique and chosen filler, as well as your skin condition, lifestyle and age. Over time, repeat treatments can favorable lengthen the interval between appointments and, in some individuals, the amount of product required to achieve the same results.

Recovery From Lip Injections

No special recovery is required for these injections. Patients should avoid manipulating their lips for 2-3 hours after injections. Typically, a 20% initial volume will be reduced during the first 24 hours due to swelling. Arnica and icing can be used to speed up this process.
